SHREC Annual Workshop 2022

In January 2022, the WAM Systems Lab will participate in the NSF/ICURC SHREC Annual Workshop. The workshop is a two-day event focusing on results from SHREC student-led research projects on space computing, high-performance computing, and resilient computing in mission-oriented environments.

Hundreds of experts in the areas of space computing, high-performance computing, and resilient computing will meet virtually as part of SHREC, the Center for Space, High-Performance, and Resilient Computing, funded by the National Science Foundation under the Industry-University Cooperative Research Center Program. SHREC is a national research center and consortium consisting of four universities: University of Pittsburgh, University of Florida, Brigham Young University, and Virginia Tech and more than 30 members from industry (e.g., Intel, Dell), government organizations (e.g., NASA, NSA), and research labs (e.g., MIT Lincoln Labs, Sandia National Labs, Laboratory for Physical Sciences).

At the UF site, Dr. Lam and Dr. McNair are supervising 6 indusry-sponsored projects on “Heterogeneous Architectures for Acceleration of Mission-Critical Computing,” and “Tool & Architecture Studies for Heterogeneous Computing.”
